The current permanent interim director of education for the peel district moves into her permanent role on August 5th, 2021. Before taking on the permanent role at the PDSB, Colleen Russell-Rawlins spent 29 years at the Toronto District School Board where she held various roles including teacher, principal, superintendent and associate director of education. “In my role at the Peel District School Board, I have been focused on eradicating systematic racism and oppression, and I will continue to do so at the TDSB” said Russell-Rawlins.
